All Occasions Catering and Gifts has been in operation since 1992. We provide high quality gourmet food for corporate business meetings as well as customized food related gift ideas for both corporate and personal.

Our catering services include catered luncheons, weddings and banquets, corporate cocktail receptions, barbeques up to 500 people, vending and concession services, ice cream socials, theme parties (Mexican, Greek, etc) and box lunches. To maintain high quality our food is delivered in a temperature controlled delivery van. We operate out of a fully licensed and insured commercial kitchen minutes from Burnside and Downtown Halifax which strategically allows us to reach most of our customers within 20 minutes.

Check out our new service, "Homestyle To Go" and "Gourmet To Go" delivered meals. Our focus for the homestyle meals is the expanding seniors market. These meals are priced to accommodate a senior living on fixed income. The meals are made from scratch, containing nothing processed (thereby naturally low in sodium) and are delivered frozen in microwave ready packaging. The focus for the gourmet meals - the busy working individual or couple. Salad, entree and dessert delivered fresh to your door.

We can also offer client appreciation gifts ... "cookies by the can", cookies and truffles or the previously mentioned "gourmet to go" delivered meals.

At All Occasions we strive to be a 'green' caterer. Our Resolution for 2009 was to become even more 'green'. In the past we have used china whenever possible but this can be an expensive and sometimes difficult task. We have now integrated into our system environmentally friendly disposable products. Coatings found on most cups are made from petroleum-based products, which don't breakdown and contain toxic chemicals. Without a coating paper cups become soft and unusable after 20 minutes. We now supply an 8 ounce biodegradable cup with a certified vegetable based biodegradable coating. It contains no fossil fuels and is composed of 100% renewable resource. There is no risk of chemical leaching into food during use. Our new disposable plates and bowls are made of 100% sugarcane, a renewable resource. They are 100% biodegradable and 100% free of petroleum and chlorine. Even the portion cups for our salad dressing are 100% biodegradable and compostable.We also make every effort to minimize the amount of disposable trays used, preferring to return and pick up trays rather than have clients throw them out. Soup is delivered in crocks rather than individual styrofoam bowls. We still provide real cutlery and utensils. If our clients still wish to receive china with their orders we are happy to do so but are now charging a handling fee.
